28 FEB 2014: It was a memorable day as the Directors of Tan Chong Education launched the Grand Opening of TCTech Penang. Being an industrial player with academic alliances in the like of Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) and BTEC, UK (an international skill-based examination body), TCTech will eventually chart the development and pivotal role of providing critical and relevant curricula in skill based training, realizing the vision of a developed regional ASEAN bloc.
Our 32,000 sq feet premises houses state of the art training facilities in the following areas: Automotive, Hairdressing & Grooming, Hospitality and Sales & Marketing. Some of our facilities include a conference room, reading room, practical training hall for Automotive, a hairdressing salon with a built-in stage for fashion parades, a mock hotel suite and front office, etc.
Besides training fresh school leavers, TCTech also offers RPA (i.e. Recognized Prior Achievement) to working adults who can convert their valued work experience to internationally recognized skill certificates. Tan Chong staffs with at least 4 years of work experience in Administration, HR, Sales, Corporate Communication, and Accounting etc and not necessarily limited to Automotive-related fields may apply for recognized skill-based certificates and diplomas. This is also HRDF claimable.
