16 February 2017: Tan Chong School of Management (TCSM) was officially launched by the Group Senior Executive Vice President of TCMH, Dato’ Rosie Tan in the presence of Independent Directors, Senior Management staff, and Invited Guests. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dato’ Tan Heng Chew, President of Tan Chong Group of Companies for his clear vision and direction, and Dato’ Rosie Tan and Senior Management Team for their advice and support extended to our team in Tan Chong Education Services Sdn Bhd (TCEdu).
Located with its Corporate Office on the 21st Floor of Menara Centara, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, TCSM complements our Automotive School, Tan Chong Technical Institute (TCTECH) in generating business revenue for TCEdu. TCTECH focuses on training automotive graduates at Certificate and Diploma levels and offers a talent pipeline for technically qualified employees for subsidiary Companies in our Group. In line with Dato’ President’s directive (at least 50% of graduates being absorbed into Tan Chong Group), business leaders’ have given their strongest support and co-operation in securing job placement opportunities to our own TCTECH graduates. TCTECH is planning to open another 2 Regional Centres in Semambu, Kuantan and Johor Jaya, and also open 2 new Centres in Danang, Vietnam and Yangon, Myanmar in FY 2018.
TCSM focuses on training and development for Executives and Management staff (all levels) for their personal development, career growth and long term retention. With 5 training rooms and a multimedia room, TCSM will also be offering competitive rates for use of our training rooms for internal use, and also external training providers and companies. In line with Dato’ President’s aspiration, internal TTT Certified Trainers including top management staff will be directly involved to share their knowledge, experience and wisdom to coach, motivate and develop key talents and employees for their personal growth and long term retention/career goals. TCSM will also be organizing conferences in niche areas, involved in external training and selective consulting projects/assignments, as well as develop specialized courses such as Graduate Employability Program in conjunction with partner universities, and in collaboration with industry players (potential employers).
Subject to Dato’ President’s approval, TCEdu aspires to move into new areas of businesses such as setting up of a Private International School and acquiring of “Colleges with strong growth potential” to be developed into a University College and ultimately, a full-fledged University in the future. With support of our business leaders and approval of Dato’ President, this is the future business direction of TCEdu Group. Thank You.
